Freakin' finally! Five days straight, I thought I'd never get this done! Icy Hot patch is my friend right now.
Well, as I said in a thread over at the KO board, I wasn't satisifed with the current shading in the comic. While I liked the "painted" idea behind it, it had a tendancy to make the characters blend into the background, and gave them a rubbery look...simply put, I hated it and wanted to try something else. After playing around with a couple of things, I ended up trying the cell look, and like how it turned out. Thus, I used it in this page. Hopefully it eliminates the "character blending" problem. Only problem is it takes a long time to color in as opposed to the last shading style, but it's worth it. I have to admit I Googled a few rain images as well as watched this weekend's rain out my window for this one. Rain is hard:C. The rain on the characters was fun to do though, even if I had to paint it by hand (still can't figure out that dang lasso tool). (Crud, I can't stop shivering! I'm going to bed now.) I'm also very fond of the line of action in the dark furred character on the first panel, the movement there is liquid and graceful.
