Getting ready for summer's death.

An image of Echo from my sketchbook that I mutilated with markers while watching Signs. I'd forgotten how fun it was to draw for myself without worrying about what other people thought. Drawing this provided a real wakeup call for me.

(Some of her markings are obviously missing, but that was intentional. This was just a simple little thing, not really meant to be accurate marking-wise).

I love how I feel as if I know what everything in this picture would feel like if I touched it. your markerwork only accentuates those gorgeous pencil lines of yours, and the blue tint is very wintery. beautiful and simple - just my favourite kind of art. :)

You're so good with markers dude, its not fair! rah... This is very pretty by the way. I love the colors.

I'm glad you're not stressing about how everyone will like whatever you do. Don't worry about opinion, just draw whatever the heck makes you happy!

Congradulations on realizing the true heart of art once again. We post it to please others, but we draw for our soul's health.
And if that's butchering in markers, I'm afraid to see a good piece!

This is a good picture. I don't think I should even blab on about how 'art should be for yourself' and 'dont think while your drawing'.
Nice even without the markings.

I'm sort of looking forward to winter this year. Hopefully the snow is pretty inside a city.

Great picture, the shading is wonderful! Have you ever thought of illustrating a children's novel?

Oh my... she looks so lovely in this picture. I love the soft coloring you did, it makes it look as though its a painting, her expression and the flow of her fur looks beautiful. I love the detail you put into this as well! Its just amazing :) It really captures the essence of saying goodbye to that wonder season.

I know exactly how you feel. Awhile back I was swamped with art trades and I hated doing them. Drawing for myself is much more rewarding and it makes me feel more like I've done something. Even when my favorite picture that I've drawn only gets 4 or 5 favorites, I dont even care anymore. If I'm proud of it then that makes it worth a million to me :cuddle: I'm so happy that you're enjoying drawing what you want!

i hat winter too. I love the heat... even the 40 degree (celcius) days we get here, (that's really HOT) but I just swim i to pool/beach, depending on where i am! I like having christmas in summer, although sometimes all the men (pop, dad, uncles etc.) have to go out and stop fires from going into our paddocs and killing cattle (even though they arn't firemen)
